Donations

The Donations section lets you make contributions to your club and track your giving history.

Making a Donation

  1. Navigate to My Donations from the sidebar
  2. Click Make a Donation
  3. Choose your donation type:
    • One-Time — a single contribution
    • Recurring — automatic monthly or yearly giving
  4. Enter or select an amount (quick-select buttons: $10, $25, $50, $100, $250)
  5. Choose a currency (defaults to your club’s currency)
  6. For recurring: select the interval (Monthly or Yearly)
  7. Add an optional message (up to 500 characters)
  8. Click Donate — you’ll be redirected to Stripe Checkout to complete payment

After payment, you’ll be redirected back to MyDonations with a success confirmation.

Donation Types

RecurringAutomatic payments on a schedule (monthly or yearly). Continues until you cancel

Viewing Your Donation History

Your My Donations page shows a table of all your contributions:

You can search, filter by type or status, and page through your history.

Donation Statuses

StatusWhat It Means
PendingPayment is being processed
CompletedPayment succeeded — thank you!
FailedPayment didn’t go through. Try again or use a different payment method
RefundedThe donation was refunded by the club
CancelledThe donation (or recurring subscription) was cancelled

Cancelling a Recurring Donation

If you have an active recurring donation and want to stop future payments:

  1. Go to My Donations
  2. Find the recurring donation in your table
  3. Click Cancel next to it
  4. The recurring payments will stop at the end of the current billing period

Already-processed payments are not affected by cancellation. Contact your club admin for refund requests.

Donating to a Campaign

Your club may run campaigns — targeted fundraising efforts with a goal and deadline. If your club shares a campaign link (e.g., on their website), you can donate directly to that campaign. The campaign page shows:

  • Campaign title and description
  • Progress bar (how much has been raised vs. the goal)
  • Number of donors
  • Deadline (if set)

Donating as a Guest (via WordPress)

If your club has a WordPress website with the ClubMS donation widget, you can donate without logging in:

  1. Visit the club’s website
  2. Find the donation form or campaign page
  3. Enter your name, email, amount, and optional message
  4. Complete payment via Stripe Checkout
  5. You’ll receive a donation receipt by email

Tax Receipts

Donation receipts are sent to your email automatically after each successful donation. If you need additional documentation for tax purposes, contact your club administrator.
