Notifications
ClubMS keeps you informed about everything happening in your club with both in-app and browser push notifications.
Notification Center
Navigate to Notifications from the sidebar. You’ll see a list of all your notifications, with unread items highlighted.
What You’ll Be Notified About
| Notification | When It’s Sent |

| Event Created | A new event is published at your club |
| Event Updated | An event you’ve booked has been modified |
| Event Cancelled | An event you’ve booked has been cancelled |
| Booking Confirmed | Your event booking is confirmed |
| Booking Cancelled | Your booking was cancelled |
| Donation Received | Your donation payment was received |
| Recurring Donation Created | Your recurring donation is set up |
| Recurring Donation Cancelled | Your recurring subscription was cancelled |
| Membership Renewed | Your membership was renewed |
| Membership Expiring | Your membership is about to expire |
| Borrow Request | Someone wants to borrow your item |
| Borrow Approved | Your borrow request was approved |
| Borrow Rejected | Your borrow request was declined |
| Return Requested | A return has been requested for a loaned item |
| Return Confirmed | The item return was confirmed |
Managing Notifications
Mark as Read
- Click on any notification to mark it as read
- Click Mark All as Read to clear all unread badges at once
Delete
- Click the delete button on any notification to remove it permanently
Navigate
Clicking a notification takes you directly to the relevant page:
- Event notifications → Event detail page
- Donation notifications → My Donations
- Membership notifications → My Membership
- Loan notifications → Collection
Unread Badge
The Notifications sidebar item shows a badge with your unread count. This updates automatically every 30 seconds — no need to refresh.
Push Notifications
Enable browser push notifications to get alerts even when ClubMS isn’t open:
- Go to Settings → Notifications
- Toggle on Browser Push Notifications
- Your browser will ask for permission — click Allow
- Done! You’ll now receive push alerts on your device
Tip: If you installed ClubMS as a PWA on your phone, push notifications work like a native app — right on your lock screen.
Disabling Push Notifications
- Go to Settings → Notifications
- Toggle off Browser Push Notifications
- You’ll stop receiving push alerts, but in-app notifications continue as normal
Email Notifications
Email notifications are being rolled out for key events:
- Booking confirmations
- Event reminders
- Donation receipts
- Membership renewal reminders
Email notification preferences will be configurable in Settings in an upcoming update.
