Events & Bookings

The Events section is where you discover what’s happening at your club and book your spot.

Browsing Events

Navigate to Events from the sidebar. You’ll see two tabs:

My Bookings (Default)

This shows events you’ve already booked, organized by timeframe:

  • Today — events happening right now
  • Upcoming — events you’ve booked that haven’t happened yet
  • Past — events you’ve attended

Each booking card shows:

  • Event title and description
  • Date and time
  • Location
  • Your booking status (Pending, Confirmed, Checked In)
  • Event type badge (Social, Racing, Meeting, Training)

All Events

Browse all published events available at your club. You can:

  • Search by event name
  • Filter by event type
  • Switch between list view and calendar view

Booking an Event

  1. Navigate to All Events and find an event you’d like to attend
  2. Click on the event to view details
  3. Click Book Now

Free Events

Your booking is confirmed immediately and you’ll receive a confirmation email.

You’ll be redirected to Stripe Checkout to complete payment. Your booking is confirmed automatically once payment succeeds.

Racing Events & Asset Selection

Some event categories may require you to select an asset (e.g., a kart, plane, or vehicle) for your booking. If a category has Requires Asset enabled, you must pick an available asset for that category to complete your booking.

How it works:

  • For each category that requires an asset, the booking form will show an asset picker.
  • Only assets that are available (not already booked for the event) are shown.
  • You must select an asset for every required category line before you can continue.
  • Your asset selections are saved with your booking and visible to event admins.

When entering a racing event, you’ll also be asked:

  • Will you have pit crew/guest? Yes / No — if Yes, enter their name. Pit crew/guest are covered by the club’s personal accident insurance.
  • Pre-race disclaimers — short questions set by your club (e.g., Fuel Y/N, Lubricant Brand and Grade, % / Ratio used). Answer each one before confirming the booking.

Your answers are saved with your booking and visible to event admins.

Booking Statuses

StatusWhat It Means

QR Code Check-In

Every confirmed booking comes with a QR code. When you arrive at an event:

  1. Open your booking (from My Bookings → Today)
  2. Show your QR code to the event organizer
  3. They’ll scan it with the admin check-in tool
  4. Your status updates to Checked In

Tip: Save a screenshot of your QR code in case you don’t have internet at the venue.

Event Results

After a completed event, your club admin may post results (positions, times, scores). Check the event detail page to see how you did!

Cancelling a Booking

To cancel a booking:

  1. Go to My Bookings
  2. Find the event
  3. Click Cancel Booking

Cancellation policies (refunds, deadlines) are set by your club. Contact your club admin for details.

Calendar View

Switch to Calendar View to see all events laid out by Week, Month, or Year. Click any event to view its details.

A second toggle changes the layout:

  • Calendar \u2014 the traditional grid (Week/Month) or month overview (Year).
  • Agenda \u2014 a chronological list of days that have events, perfect for scanning everything at a glance.
